About the Creator—Tom Savage
Tom Savage is the artist, writer, and creator of the Ash & Raimi webcomic.
Ash & Raimi was inspired by Tom's real life cats of the same names.
Their first appearance came in the form of a series of children's books beginning with Tomb of the Golden Mouse. An amusing tale of friendship and sharing.
And, The Christmas Cookie Caper a Holiday mischief romp and the first book to feature the comic strip character Martin—an extraterrestrial explorer.
Shortly after the series gradually shifted and became a semi-weekly webcomic geared at older readers and adults. Having released over 200 comics and short animated features since 2026.
These comics have been compiled into two collection books Finest Specimens and the upcoming Hairballs and Binkies.
Meet the Cast
Ash
Ash is a senior cat and the best friend to Raimi.
He is the king of his domain and the voice of reason and innocent charm.
Raimi
Raimi is a the younger sibling of Ash.
He is imaginative, authoritative, and a natural leader. He looks up to Ash but often leads them into trouble.
Martin
Martin is a loveable— but gullible extraterrestrial visitor learning about our planet via the unique perspective of
Ashand Raimi.
Daisy
Daisy is Martin's 4 year old surprise daughter. She is wise and the managerial one of the household.
Toby
Toby is a dog. What more can we say.
